Official: Real Madrid clean up with ‘The Best’ Player & Manager awards
La Liga giants Real Madrid on Tuesday saw the excellence of leading members of the club’s playing and coaching staff alike recognised.
As much came by way of ‘The Best’ awards.
FIFA’s annual ‘Best’ ceremony was held a short time ago, bringing together high-profile players, managers and figures from across the world of football.
The headline prize of the night was ‘The Best Player’, which aims to recognise the game’s standout performer from the previous 12 months.
And, after missing out on the Ballon d’Or back in October, Vinícius Jr. on this occasion triumped, recognised by his peers with more votes than any other player:

As alluded to above, though, the Brazilian was not the only member of the first-team setup at Real Madrid recognised on Tuesday.
So too was Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
After guiding his side to a league and European double last season, Ancelotti was named ‘The Best Coach’ of the Year:

Elsewhere, Aston Villa’s Emi Martínez scooped the title of ‘The Best Goalkeeper’, whilst Manchester United talent Alejandro Garnhaco bagged the prestigious Puskas prize.
