Official: Real Madrid announce deadline day departure
La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday announced a fresh exit from the club’s youth ranks.
The player to have moved on for the season ahead? Reinier Jesus.
The name of attacking midfielder Reinier has of course taken its place centre stage in the transfer chatter in Spain across the week to date.
This comes after word was forthcoming that the Brazilian was eyeing a fresh loan departure from Real, after another hit-and-miss stint away from the Santiago Bernabéu with Serie A outfit Frosinone last season.
A number of clubs from across the continent, in turn, are understood to have expressed an interest in a player who was once considered one of the standout talents in all of South America.
And, as alluded to above, on Friday, one such side have closed a deal for Reinier’s signature.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms, the 22-year-old has linked up with La Liga 2 outfit Granada for the 2024/25 campaign:
‘Real Madrid C. F. and Granada C. F. have agreed the loan of Reinier for the duration of this season, until 30 June 2025.’
