Official: Napoli sign Gilmour from Brighton
Recent reports confirm that the Partenopei have agreed to pay an upfront fee of €14.2m (£14m) plus add-ons of up to €4.75m (£4m) to secure the 23-year-old’s services. He has put pen to paper on a five-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2029.
He joins fellow Scotland international Scott McTominay at the Stadio Maradona, who joined from Manchester United on deadline day.
With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Gilmour completed his medical test and signed the necessary documents, and is expected to travel to Naples in due course.
As is customary with Napoli transfers, club President Aurelio De Laurentiis was the first to announce the official news.
