De La Fuente was deemed surplus to requirements by Marseille head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Les Phocéens are undertaking a major squad revamp under the impulsion of the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager. With his four-year contract set to expire in 2025, De La Fuente was set to leave Les Phocéens this summer. The American winger has signed a three-year contract with INEOS-owned Switzerland outfit Lausanne-Sport. He is set to wear the #23 jersey with the 7-time Swiss champions.
