Official | Lens sign Swedish prospect Jeremy Agbonifo
RC Lens have signed Swedish youth international Jeremy Agbonifo (19) from Allsvenskan side Häcken, both clubs have announced. The 19-year-old right winger has joined the Artois side on loan with a near-mandatory €6,5m option to make his move to Stade Bollaert-Delelis permanent. The option will be triggered if Will Still’s side remains in Ligue 1 next season, which is all but acquired. His contract with Lens expires in 2028.

Agbonifo has only played 18 games for Häcken, but he logged already six goals and three assists. The Sweden U21 international will wear the No. 25 jersey with Les Sang et Or. “We are happy to sign Jeremy”, said Lens CEO Pierre Dreossi. “At 19, this winger displays developed technical and athletic qualities, which he has demonstrated under the banners of his formative club and with the Sweden U21 national team in recent months.
Agbonifo could make his Ligue 1 debut this Friday as Lens play Montpellier at Stade de la Mosson.
