Official: Las Palmas star joins Torino
La Liga outfit Las Palmas have on Wednesday announced the departure of a key member of the club’s defensive ranks.
The player in question? Saúl Coco.
Coco, for his part, is fresh off a fine campaign with Las Palmas, which saw the 25-year-old feature in 30 of the club’s La Liga outings.
He was widely hailed as one of the Amarillos’ star performers, en route to maintaining their top-flight status in comfortable fashion.
With such displays, however, came inevitable outside interest…
Ahead of the expiration of Coco’s contract in the summer of 2025, a number of clubs from across the La Liga landscape, and Europe alike, are understood to have been keeping a close eye on his situation in Gran Canaria.
And, on Wednesday, one such suitor have won out in the race for the stopper.
As per a statement across Las Palmas’ website and social media platforms:
‘Saúl Basilio Coco-Bassey Oubiña ends his cycle with UD Las Palmas following the transfer agreement with Torino FC of Serie A and the player.’
