Official – Inter Milan & Argentina Star Joins Monza

Tomas Palacios has completed his long-awaited loan move from Serie A champions Inter Milan to Monza.

Monza announced the Argentine center-back’s temporary move to the Stadio Brianteo until the rest of the season.

However, the Biancorossi will have no buyout option.

That means the 21-year-old will return to Giuseppe Meazza in the summer to fight for his place under Simone Inzaghi.

After failing to secure regular first-team football at Inter, Tomas Palacios will hope to hit the ground running at Monza.

Palacios underwent routine medicals this morning before signing a short-term deal at the Brianteo.

His arrival should help Monza improve their woeful defensive record.

More importantly, Salvatore Bocchetti’s men need every help they can get to avoid relegation.

Indeed, they finished the previous round nailed to the bottom of the standings, seven points adrift of safety.

Meanwhile, Inzaghi hopes Palacios could gain more minutes in the new surroundings and finally get a taste of Serie A football.

The youngster has barely played for Inter since arriving from Independiente Rivadavia last summer.

However, Monza could help Palacios launch his European career.
