Official – Inter Milan Announce Two-Year Commercial Deal With Former Serie A Sponsor TIM
Inter Milan have officially announced a new two-year commercial partnership with former Serie A sponsor TIM.
The club confirmed the deal, which will see the telecommunications company’s logo on the shorts of the women’s team, as well as having the naming rights for the youth centre.
TIM is a name that will certainly be familiar to fans of Inter and of Serie A.
The Italian telecommunications giant had a commercial partnership with the Nerazzurri until 2018.
That was the year that the telecom company paused their partnership with Inter to focus exclusively on their sponsorship of the Lega Serie A.
TIM had had commercial partnerships with a total of fourteen different clubs within Italy.
However, the company ended all of these deals in 2018.
TIM had been the official sponsor of Serie A since 1999. The company has become widely associated with the Italian top flight due to the naming rights.
However, TIM has also had numerous partnerships with individual clubs.
The deals with individual clubs had been on pause since 2018.
But over the summer, TIM’s deal with the Lega Serie A came to an end. For the first time in 25 years, they are not the sponsors of the Italian top flight.
With TIM no longer the official main sponsors of Serie A, the Italian telecommunications company have returned to sponsoring individual clubs within the league.
AC Milan announced the resumption of their partnership yesterday.
Inter Milan Confirm Two-Year Commercial Partnership With TIM
And Inter have closely followed their city rivals in announcing a new deal with TIM themselves.
The Nerazzurri have confirmed that it will be a two-year deal with the telecommunications giant.
Inter do not confirm the value of the partnership.
However, reports indicate that the Nerazzurri will bring in around €1 million per season from the deal.
The partnership will entail two things.
Firstly, TIM’s logo will appear on the shorts of the Nerazzurri women’s team.
And secondly, the telecommunications company will have the naming rights for the Inter Youth Centre, which includes the college where the club’s youth players stay and the academy offices are housed.
