Official: Barcelona name XI to face Benfica

The group of players entrusted by the Barcelona coaching staff to get the better of Benfica this evening has been unveiled online.

And it features, as expected, a whole host of star names.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action in short order.

Fresh off another disappointing domestic result against Getafe over the weekend, the Blaugrana have turned attentions back towards matters on the continent.

A meeting with Portuguese heavyweights Benfica lies in wait, at the Estádio da Luz.

And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, the XI of players selected by Hansi Flick and his staff to secure a return to winning ways for Barca was unveiled online.

It is, for the most part, the same line-up as that which was held to a 1-1 stalemate by Getafe on Saturday, featuring just a solitary change, with Wojciech Szczęsny having been given the nod between the posts over Iñaki Peña:
