FC Barcelona are set to return to La Liga this weekend for the match against Villarreal. The Catalans saw their victorious start to the 2024-25 season come to an end with the defeat against Monaco in the UEFA Champions League, but would now be looking to get back to winning ways in the match against Villarreal this weekend.

Hansi Flick was able to field Ansu Fati in the last match, and he will once again be available to the German coach to reinforce his attack in the latter parts of the match. However, Ferran Torres will be unavailable for this game as he got a red card in the last league match against Girona.

Furthermore, the former Bayern Munich head coach will still expectedly remain without the services of the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Gavi, who have returned to group training but might still have to wait a bit to make their return to the field. Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, and Marc Bernal also remain unavailable with injuries.
