Official | Adryelson joins Anderlecht on loan from Lyon

Lyon centre-back Adryelson (26) has signed for Belgian side RSC Anderlecht on loan, both clubs have announced. The Brazilian centre-back joined Olympique Lyonnais from Botafogo last January over a €3,5m deal. He has failed to make an impression under the tutelage of Pierre Sage, featuring only four times in total with the Ligue 1 outfit. Adryelson was sent on a six-month loan back to Botafogo at the start of this campaign, where he contributed to the Brazilian outfit’s Copa Libertadores and Brazilian league titles.

Adryelson will spend the remainder of the 2024-2025 campaign with RSC Anderlecht. Despite his limited game time with his parent club, Lyon could still make a profit on the Brazilian centre-back as his loan move includes a €6m option to make his move to Brussels permanent. Lyon have been looking to trim down their squad in the current transfer window due to their ongoing financial difficulties.
