Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

22:06

Ten-man Spurs make it two wins on the bounce with a 2-0 victory over Forest, which adds to the pressure on Steve Cooper. Forest created some good chances in the first half, but couldn't take them before conceding in first-half stoppage time when Richarlison thumped a header past Turner. The hosts thought they'd equalised through Elanga just before the hour mark but his rifled finish was ruled out for offside by VAR. Kulusevski then made sure of the points, beating Turner for power as the keeper couldn't keep out his shot. Bissouma was sent off in the 70th minute for a reckless, high challenge on Yates, and Vicario made two excellent blocks on his line to make sure that Spurs came away with the three points. Tottenham stay in fifth but move level on points with Manchester City above them. They host Everton in their next game. As for Forest, that's now six without a win for them, and they remain just five points above the drop zone. Next up for them is Bournemouth. That's all for today, goodbye!

21:58

GREAT SAVE! Vicario comes to Spurs' rescue again! Elanga takes it to the byline, but this time, his cross is deflected out to the far post. Yates meets it first time, but his shot across goal is blocked by the keeper on his line once more.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:57

SAVE! Gibbs-White's corner is cleared at the near post, but it's worked back into the Spurs box. Danilo nods it down to Niakhate, who pokes it through to Elanga at the far post. His first-time shot is held by Vicario, but he was offside anyway.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:56

Bissouma is the seventh player to be red-carded twice in a single Premier League season for Spurs, and the first since Kyle Naughton in 2014-15.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:53

BLOCK! Hojbjerg just breezes past Niakhate to play a one-two with Skipp before he squares it to Porro on the edge of the box. He takes aim, but Yates throws himself in front of it to deflect it out for a corner.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:51

Toffolo is a little late in getting over to block Emerson's cross, catching the Brazilian. Forest aren't happy as he has his name taken by the referee.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:50

Spurs are making their third change now, and Son is taking his time leaving the pitch. Emerson comes on in his place, with the visitors switching to a back five as they look to protect their clean sheet.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:48

Spurs aren't happy as Skipp is down after being caught by Murillo, who hasn't long been booked. The defender just clipped the top of Skipp's foot as he tried to get the ball, and the visitors, led by Postecoglou, are asking why there isn't a second yellow card.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:46

WHAT A SAVE! Williams' shot is deflected out for a corner by Romero, and it's whipped into the far post by Gibbs-White. Toffolo rises to meet it, and Vicario is in the right place as he blocks it on his goal line without knowing too much about it.

Yellow Card Murillo Santiago Costa dos Santos

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:42

GOOD SAVE! Kulusevski bursts down the right, and when he cuts inside, he weaves his way past two defenders before drilling it low at the near post. Turner had already shifted his weight and does well to get down and get a strong hand to it.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:41

The home fans are beside themselves after Williams goes down in the box and the referee doesn't award a penalty. The wing-back knocked the ball past Udogie before crashing into the Italian, who stood his ground.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:40

Turner sets Forest on a quick counter, and Son takes one for the team by stopping Yates in his tracks. He's booked for it.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:39

After soaking up a good spell of Forest pressure, Kulusevski has the chance to break, and he goes for the big switch out to Son. He cuts inside from the left, but is dispossessed by Murillo as he tries to set himself for a shot.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:36

Williams takes the free-kick through the middle, and Romero can't get enough on the clearance. It falls to Gibbs-White on the edge of the box, but his first-time shot is deflected over the crossbar.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:34

Yellow Card Benjamin Thomas Davies

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:33

The referee initially gives Bissouma a yellow card for a late challenge on Yates, but he's now asked to go to the monitor to have another look at this. The challenge is high and the midfielder could be in trouble here...

Yellow Card Yves Bissouma

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:29

Like after the first goal they conceded, Forest look a little hesitant to get forward quickly. That is, apart from Gibbs-White, who switches it out to Mangala on the right, and he manages to win a free-kick, though it comes to nothing.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:25

Goal Dejan Kulusevski

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:25

Son starts the move out on the left, but as it's moved into Bissouma through the middle, the Spurs captain moves into the middle. He's picked out, but he can't get enough on the shot, which is aimed straight at Turner.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:23

Cooper is urging the crowd to raise the volume once more, and the City Ground, who have been chanting his name for most of the game so far, oblige. Udogie plays it back to Vicario, who is being put under pressure by Yates, but the keeper clears his lines.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:21

NO GOAL! The central defenders for Spurs held their line well, but Udogie was slightly ahead of them to try and block Williams' cross. Elanga still set off too early though, and his goal is ruled out for offside. Still 1-0 Spurs!

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:20

ELANGA EQUALISES! But is it going to count? Mangala sweeps it out to the right, and Williams has space to curl a good cross into the six-yard box. Elanga is one of three Forest players running onto it, but he gets there first, rifling it past Vicario from close range, giving the keeper no chance. VAR is having a look at this though...

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:18

Goal Anthony David Junior Elanga

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:18

Gibbs-White is on a mission to get Forest upfield, and he makes another driving run down the left. He's nudged off it by Porro, but reacts quickly to poke it to Toffolo to keep it alive.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:16

GOOD SAVE! Gibbs-White steps up to take the free-kick that he won, and his whipped delivery almost ends up creeping in at the far post. Vicario has to stretch over the crowd to tip it away.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:15

Yellow Card Pape Matar Sarr

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:15

Murillo goes long and though Toffolo can't reach it to get the flick-on, he does enough to put off Skipp, opening it up for Elanga. He surges down the left, but is cut off by Romero as he starts to cut inside. Forest do have a corner though.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:12

Spurs have scored first in 11 consecutive Premier League games, with nine different players scoring these openers: Son (x3), Van de Ven, Ward (OG), Kulusevski, Johnson, Lo Celso, Romero, Udogie and Richarlison.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:10

GOOD CHANCE! Spurs don't clear their lines properly and Elanga gets his head up to spot Boly completely unmarked on the right side of the box. It seems he's the wrong player to be in that position though as he lifts his shot high over the bar.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:09

Forest have made a bright start here, and after failing to pick out someone in red from a free-kick, Niakhate is brought up to take a long throw-in. He can't cause another scramble in the Spurs box though as Romero comfortably clears.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:06

Forest get us back under way for the second half!

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

21:00

Cooper will be disappointed to be going into the break with his side down 1-0, especially after some of the problems his side caused Spurs. It's a game that Forest can't afford to lose with the pressure building on their manager, and they need to be more clinical when they do counter in the second half. Spurs, on the other hand, looked like they might be having one of those games after having 78 per cent possession without creating too much. That goal changes things, but Postecoglou will still be looking for a big improvement in the second half.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:56

Richarlison's goal just before the break gives Spurs a 1-0 lead over Forest at half-time. The visitors dominated the first half in terms of possession and could've taken an early lead, but Turner was there to make good saves to deny Son and Johnson, who was later forced off with a head injury. Forest grew into the game and arguably looked the more likely to score as they caused real problems on the counter, but they just couldn't test Vicario. In stoppage time, Kulusevski whipped in a great cross, and Richarlison was there to thump in the opener, scoring for the second game in a row.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:51

HALF-TIME: NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0-1 TOTTENHAM.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:51

That goal has rattled Forest, who have been good defensively up to that point. They're back to sitting deep in their own half and trying to avoid conceding a second before the half-time whistle.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:48

Assist Dejan Kulusevski

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:47

Goal Richarlison de Andrade

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:47

Spurs are back to trying to find an opening as the board goes up to show there will be four additional minutes. Son's looking for Udogie's overlapping run with the reverse pass, but it's played too close to Turner.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:45

Son's shot is blocked on the edge of the box by Boly, and when Spurs manage to switch it out to the right, Yates stops Kulusevski from putting in the cross. Forest are doing the hard work at the back, and the visitors don't have an answer at the moment.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:43

Yellow Card Iyenoma Destiny Udogie

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:42

It's a lovely bit of skill by Boly to turn away from Skipp, and he quickly plays it through to Elanga. With Davies tight to him, it's hard to spin into space, and he ends up fouling the defender.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:40

It's Spurs that can't get out at the moment as Forest cut out every attempted clearance. The hosts' final pass is lacking though, and eventually, Udogie puts his laces through a clearance.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:37

Son and Porro switch positions for the moment as the South Korean swings a good cross in from the right. Porro makes a late run through the middle of the box to meet it, but flicks his header wide of the far post.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:35

Forest are starting to play with a bit more urgency now and Toffolo darts in to intercept another loose pass. Gibbs-White quickly switches it out to the right, and Yates down well to win a throw-in as Davies tried to cut him off.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:33

Johnson slowly makes his way off to a warm reception from the Forest fans. Spurs are going to use a concussion substitution as Skipp is brought on in his place.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:33

Johnson is sitting up, but he has to be helped to his feet by the physio and Sarr. He's bleeding heavily from a cut on his forehead and looks a little dazed as he starts to make his way off.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:31

It was chaos in Spurs' box as they failed to clear their lines, and Johnson has stayed down after they get it away. It seems to be a head injury, and the medical team are waved on to give him some treatment.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:29

That little flurry from Forest has got the fans on their feet and they're urging Niakhate forward to put another long throw-in into the box. Spurs don't deal with this one either, but Elanga's volley is straight at Udogie's back.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:28

GOOD SAVE! Spurs are all over the place as they fail to deal with a long throw-in into the box. Boly heads it to the far post where Kouyate just can't get definitive contact. Vicario still has to push it away, and Davies throws himself in front of Yates' follow-up.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:26

Spurs win a corner and Porro's delivery is good as he whips it to the edge of the six-yard box. Davies gets in front of Murillo to flick it towards goal, but it's just too high as it sails over the bar.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:24

GOOD SAVE! The ball seems to be glued to Kulusevski, who keeps it at his feet even as he rides the sliding challenge by Mangala. He manages to touch it into Johnson, who pokes a shot on goal, and Turner gets down to tip it wide.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:24

Sarr isn't paying attention as he plays it back towards his own box, and Yates cuts out the loose pass. Romero rushes over to dispossess him, and Yates just can't keep hold of it to get a shot away.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:22

Spurs are back to keeping comfortable possession, already racking up nearly 80 per cent in the first 20 minutes. It's patient play by the visitors, who can't seem to draw Forest out of their compact shape.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:21

GOOD SAVE! Williams slides it down the right after making an interception, and Gibbs-White quickly gets his head up to spot Elanga's run. The youngster drives into the box and is one-on-one with Vicario, but he hits his shot straight at the keeper, who punches it away.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:19

Turner goes long with his goal-kick and Elanga beats Romero to it to nod it down for Gibbs-White. He tries to drag it around Davies near the touchline, but ends up tripping the ball out of play.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:17

Kulusevski can't find a way down the left, so Spurs switch things up, looking to their right side this time. The visitors flood bodies into the box, but Porro's delivery is poor as it flies straight into the stands.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:16

Forest just can't get out of their own half and are struggling to get a touch on the ball as Spurs knock it around. The hosts are attempting to press high, but it's half-hearted at the moment.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:14

Son drops a shoulder to lose Williams before squaring it into the box for Richarlison, but Murillo's vital touch takes it away from the forward. Kulusevski tries to keep it alive by sweeping it out to Porro, but the switch is too heavy.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:12

After winning four consecutive league games against Spurs between 1995 and 1997, Forest have now lost their last four against them in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:10

Son times his run perfectly once more, this time to get on the end of Romero's long ball over the top. He's tracked to the byline by Williams when it bounces up against Son's hand.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:08

Porro swings the free-kick into the box, but it's cleared at the front of the crowd by Mangala. His header isn't overly convincing, but Davies still has to get to the rebound first to stop Elanga from pouncing.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:07

Son is getting involved a lot early on, and Spurs switch it out to him once more. He can't pick out a cross, but as he turns back, he's clumsily bundled over by Williams. The South Korean wasn't going anywhere, but now the visitors have a free-kick.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:04

GOOD SAVE! What a start that would've been for Spurs! It's a good throughball by Romero first to pick out Sarr in a crowd, and he helps it out to Son on the left of the box. He's one-on-one with Turner, who makes himself big to smother the shot.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:03

Son goes down holding his head and the referee has to stop play. The Spurs captain was crouched trying to shield the ball when he got an accidental knee to the head by Yates, but he can carry on without treatment.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:02

Son gets the game under way for Spurs!

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

20:00

The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

19:56

Postecoglou was also happy with his team's performance against Newcastle last time out as he names an unchanged side too. Richarlison gets the nod up front after his brace, and Johnson starts against his former club. Dier is back on the bench after a groin injury, but Giovanni Lo Celso is out after picking up a knock in training.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

19:54

Cooper was clearly impressed with how his side responded to the Fulham thrashing against Wolves, and he sticks with the same starting line-up from that game. Murillo went off very early in that match with a tight hamstring, but he's recovered to retain his place here.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

19:54

TOTTENHAM SUBS: Fraser Forster, Jamie Donley, Alfie Dorrington, Eric Dier, Alejo Veliz, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, Emerson Royal, Bryan Gil.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST STARTING XI (3-5-2): Matt Turner; Willy Boly, Murillo, Moussa Niakhate; Neco Williams, Ryan Yates, Orel Mangala, Cheikhou Kouyate, Harry Toffolo; Anthony Elanga, Morgan Gibbs-White.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

19:37

As for Spurs, they were on a five-game winless run of their own but brought that to an end with a much-needed 4-1 win over Newcastle United on Sunday. During that run, Ange Postecoglou's side set the unwanted record of scoring first in five consecutive matches but failing to win any of them. They'll be looking to build on their victory last weekend with another here, and if they come away with three points, they'll be level on points with Manchester City, who sit above them in fourth.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur

19:37

The pressure has been mounting on Steve Cooper in recent weeks, but he could lift a little of that with a scalp here, especially as it would lift them a little further away from the relegation zone, which they are currently five points clear of in 16th place. Forest have struggled for form in recent months, but they ended a four-game losing run, which included a heavy 5-0 defeat away at Fulham, with a 1-1 draw against Wolves last time out. They've actually won just one of their last 12 outings (D5 L6), which was at home when they beat Aston Villa 2-0.
