Northwestern vs. Utah: Schedule, odds and how to watch the 2023 Las Vegas Bowl

The 2023 Las Vegas Bowl will feature a pair of teams that went 5-4 in their conferences this season. The Utah Utes (8-4; 5-4 in conference) will take on the Northwestern Wildcats (7-5; 5-4 in conference) in this year's edition.

Each team has dealt with their own adversities this season. The Wildcats were forced to fire 17-year head coach Pat Fitzgerald following an investigation into hazing within the university's football program. They recovered though. David Braun took over and still managed to get Northwestern to second place in the Big 10 West and bowl eligible.

The Utes, on the other hand, haven't dealt with staff turmoil, rather a nasty encounter with the injury bug. The Utes endured season-ending injuries from several key contributors including Micah Bernard, Cam Rising, Brant Kuithe, Mycah Pittman, Jonah Elliss, Logan Fano, Lander Barton, Thomas Yassmin, and Chris Curry. Utah also had several players enter the transfer portal. Three quarterbacks, two linebackers, two safeties, one wide receiver, and one cornerback have all decided they will not play for Utah in 2024. They will undoubtedly be very short-handed against Northwestern. Can they pull it off with what they have?
