Noah Powell Departs Ohio State, Joins OHL's Oshawa Generals
Former Ohio State Buckeyes forward Noah Powell has signed with the OHL's Oshawa Generals, it was announced Friday.
Powell, a product of Northbrook, Ill., was in his freshman season with the Buckeyes, having scored two goals and added three assists for five points in 17 games.
Prior to making the jump to the NCAA, Powell played two seasons in the USHL with the Dubuque Fighting Saints. His impressive 74 points in 61 regular season games last year led to the Philadelphia Flyers taking him in the fifth round of the 2024 NHL Draft.
As Powell departs the NCAA for the OHL, he should be an immediate impact player for the Generals. Having proven to be a dynamic player for the Fighting Saints, Powell will add another scoring threat to a powerful Generals team hoping to make a run to the Memorial Cup.
