Recent developments have shed new light on the ongoing situation between Real Madrid and Alphonso Davies.

Contrary to earlier reports from Spain, it seems that Real Madrid and Davies have yet to come to an agreement for a potential free transfer in 2025, according to a recent update from BILD (h/t iMiaSanMia).

At this stage, all signs point to Davies entering the final year of his contract with Bayern Munich.

Bayern feel Davies is being unreasonable

The Canadian left-back’s current deal with Bayern Munich is set to expire in 2025. Over the past few months, there have been ongoing discussions between his agent, Nick Huoseh, and Bayern’s management.

However, recent reports suggest that these negotiations have come to a halt. The reason behind this breakdown in communication appears to be that Bayern’s management believes Davies may be inflating his demands by showing interest in a move to Real Madrid.

According to sources, Davies’ agent had reportedly asked for a significant salary of €16 million per year, in addition to a hefty €15 million in signing-on fees.

This large financial request from Davies’ side seems to have contributed to the friction between the two parties.

What was said about Davies?

Just yesterday reports from Spain indicated that Davies’ strong desire to play for Real Madrid was a major factor influencing the potential transfer decision.

However, Real Madrid are reportedly not willing to meet Bayern Munich’s asking price for the player. This discrepancy in expectations has added another layer of uncertainty to the situation.

At the moment, it is challenging to predict what the final outcome will be.

However, based on recent comments from Uli Hoeness, a prominent figure at Bayern Munich, it appears increasingly likely that Davies will remain with Bayern and fulfil the remainder of his contract, which runs until next summer.
