No. 2 Overall 2024 NHL Draft Pick Artyom Levshunov To Debut As Blackhawk at Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase Next Month
Artyom Levshunov, the No 2 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, will make his "game debut" in a Blackhawks jersey on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 against the St. Louis Blues.
It won't be a real NHL contest, but Levshunov will wear a Hawks sweater for the first time at the fourth annual Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Levshunov, who signed a contract with the Blackhawks last month, will skate on a team with other top Chicago prospects against the Blues up-and-coming players.
Levshunov will then take part in the Blackhawks overall training camp, opening on Sept. 18. It's expected the 18-year-old will play with the AHL Rockford Ice Hogs in 2024-25, his first pro season after starring as a freshman at Michigan State last winter.
