Nikita Volsky Commits To Lake Superior State

Corpus Christi IceRays goaltender Nikita Volsky has committed to Lake Superior State, it was announced earlier this week.

Volsky, who hails from Minsk, Belarus, is in his final season of junior hockey. Over 17 appearances with the IceRays this season, he has posted a record of 14-3-0 to go along with a 1.91 GAA and a .938 SP.

Prior to this season, Volsky had one year of junior hockey under his belt, having spent the 2023-24 season in the NCDC with the Pueblo Bulls and the Ogden Mustangs. Over a combined 18 appearances, he collected a record of 11-6-0, a GAA of 2.49 and a .925 SP.

Having an incredible run of play to begin the season, Volsky drew the attention of many people around the hockey world. Now a future member of the Lakers, Volsky will be one to watch next season as he has put up stellar numbers wherever he has gone.
