Nick Foligno Takes Subtle Jab At Blackhawks TV Situation
The Chicago Blackhawks were defeated by the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night. The 4-1 final was representative of the bad effort that was displayed on the ice.
The Hawks have been better on the road than at home. It’s not like their road record of 4-4-1 is outstanding but it’s better than their 1-4-0 home record. It’s hard to figure out what the issue is at the United Center.
This game was on National TV as TNT carried it. For a lot of the Chicagoland area, that means they got to see them on TV for the first time in a while.
Chicago plays most of their games on Chicago Sports Network which isn’t on a lot of streaming platforms including Xfinity cable. Getting this network is difficult right now and most people don’t get to watch games at their homes.
Nick Foligno on the #Blackhawks playing at United Center:
"We've got to figure it out at home, especially while we're not on TV. We've got to find a way to get our fans excited about us playing here."

After the game, when asked about being better at home, captain Nick Foligno took a subtle jab at the current TV situation. He had this to say:
"We've got to figure it out at home, especially while we're not on TV. We've got to find a way to get our fans excited about us playing here."
Foligno knows the issues that come with this TV problem. Fans can’t watch them unless they are fortunate with their TV situation or go to every home game. That puts pressure on the players to be better at home, but they haven’t done that yet.
The team is bad at the United Center, which is one thing. Nick Foligno acknowledging publicly that the TV situation is known within the locker room is another. Frankly, it’s embarrassing. The Hawks must find a way to resolve this.
