NI internationals Burns and Wade leave Reading

Northern Ireland internationals Jackie Burns and Lauren Wade have left Women's Championship side Reading upon the expiration of their contracts.

Both Burns and Wade joined the club in August 2022 after impressing in the Euros for Northern Ireland.

Burns made 16 appearances for the Royals in the WSL and the Championship after rupturing her Achilles in April 2023, which kept her out of action for over a year.

Wade played 73 times for Reading, who finished 10th in the Championship last year.

Reading will play in the fifth tier next season after the club withdrew from the Championship due to financial difficulties.
