NHL Insider Provides Insight Into J.T. Miller's Desire To Leave Canucks
J.T. Miller may be traded by the Vancouver Canucks sooner rather than later.
The fact that trade talks were progressing between the Canucks and New York Rangers was no coincidence.
While some people reportedly deny the fact, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman provided insight into Miller’s desire to depart Vancouver.
"I'd heard that Miller had asked for a trade, had finally said, 'Just get me out of here,'" Friedman said. "I think as a couple people just said to me, like, everybody knows what's going on here, and they're just they're trying to work to get something done, but a specific trade request that was denied to me by several people."
This all comes after a reported feud between Miller and Elias Pettersson has created a media storm around the Canucks organization.
Friedman reported over the weekend that the deal being discussed between the Rangers and Canucks is now off with the reasoning behind the sudden cancellation unknown.
There was a time where Miller was not going to play in Vancouver’s Saturday night game against the Edmonton Oilers according to Friedman, but trade talks stalled and he was ultimately placed in the lineup.
