NHL Hockey Fantasy Waiver Wire Forward Pickups Dec. 18 - McMann's The Man
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games
Bobby McMann, LW, TOR @ DET (5% rostered)
McMann had a solid rookie campaign, posting 15 goals and nine assists in 56 games. He is not having the same kind of success so far this season, tallying six markers and three apples in 23 contests. But he is coming off a two helper game Sunday, which was the first time the 28-year-old cracked the scoresheet since bagging two goals on Nov. 16, McMann is skating on the third line for Toronto.
Eutu Luostarinen, C/LW, FLA @ MIN (1% rostered)
Luostarinen makes the list on the presumption that Aleksander Barkov will miss his third straight game with an illness. With Barkov out, Luostarinen is skating on the second line for Florida. The power winger has 12 points, 34 shots on net, 71 hits, 21 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 32 appearances this season. Once Barkov returns, Luostarinen will return to his usual third line placement.
Kiefer Sherwood, LW/RW, VAN @ UTAH (40% rostered)
Sherwood potted a hat trick Monday, giving the winger a career-high 11 goals on the season. He has been on an extremely strong run lately, as he's netted five of those goals across his last six outings. Sherwood has found a home his first year in Vancouver, his fourth team, as he is already up to 184 hits in just 30 games after notching 234 in 68 contests for Nashville last season.
Alex Killorn, C/LW/RW, ANA vs. WPG (3% rostered)
Killorn is coming off what was by far his best game of the season, notching a pair of goals and an assist Saturday. That production was a significant outlier for Killorn, who had managed just one point (an assist) over his prior seven contests. Killorn now has six markers and eight apples in 29 contests after dropping from 64 points in 2022-23 in Tampa to 36 last season, his first in Anaheim.
