The best thing that can be said about Hofer is that he is well-rested. Sunday's start will be his first since November 7 as Jordan Binnington has been between the pipes in every game since. The Blues come in off an overtime win against the Bruins and face a Hurricanes team that may turn to their fourth goalie with Frederik Andersen out and Pyotr Kochetkov questionable. If taking a flier on a goalie, Hofer is worth a look, just be wary of the downside risk he has a 3-2-0 record, .903 save percentage and 3.33 goals-against average .
