NHL-Highlights of Saturday's National Hockey League playoff games

(Adds Ducks win) April 18 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Saturday's National Hockey League playoff games: - - Penguins 4, Rangers 3 Pittsburgh Center Sidney Crosby made his presence felt with a pair of second-period goals as the Penguins evened their best-of-seven series with the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The series is tied 1-1, with Game 3 set for Monday night in Pittsburgh. Crosby scored just one goal in 13 postseason games a year ago, although he was dealing with a wrist injury. The goal came in the Penguins' second-round, seven-game loss to the Rangers. Center Brandon Sutter and left winger Chris Kunitz also scored for the Penguins on Saturday, while goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 23 of 26 shots. The Rangers received goals from centers Derek Stepan and Derick Brassard and left winger Rick Nash. Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 18 saves. - - Ducks 2, Jets 1 It seems that the Anaheim Ducks have borrowed the rally monkey from their neighbors at Angel Stadium and kept him in the postseason. The Ducks won for the second straight game when trailing after two periods, seizing a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference first-round series against the Winnipeg Jets. Anaheim led the league with 12 come-from-behind wins during the regular season while trailing through 40 minutes. - - Lightning 5, Red Wings 1 Tampa Bay got two goals from center Tyler Johnson as the Lightning rebounded with a victory over Detroit that tied their first round playoff series at 1-1. "I thought we were pretty good in Game One (a loss), and we continued with that," said Lightning coach Jon Cooper. "I'd like to see us coming out 2-0, but it's 1-1, and that's better than 0-2. So now we go win one on the road." The series heads to third-seeded Detroit for Games Three and Four on Tuesday and Thursday. The teams split two games there during the season. - - Blues 4, Wild 1 Right wing Vladimir Tarasenko scored his first career playoff hat trick and goalie Jake Allen stopped 24 of 25 Minnesota shots as St. Louis evened the first-round playoff series at a win each. Game Three of the best-of-seven series will be Monday night in Minnesota. Tarasenko, who led the Blues with 37 goals during the season, had been held without a shot on goal in the Blues' Game One loss. He made certain that did not happen again, scoring his fifth and sixth career playoff goals in the first period before completing the hat trick with an empty-net goal with 17 seconds to play.
