Goalies
Yaroslav Askarov, SJ @ BOS (18% rostered)
Askarov has ceded time between the pipes for the Sharks to Alexanadar Georgiev, who started his third straight game Saturday. Including him in this column is a gut call, as Askarov will start one of the two back-to-back games Monday and Tuesday. With Georgiev having gone three in a row, Askarov starting the first game of two makes sense. Askarov is 3-3-2 with a 2.39 goals-against average (GAA) and a .917 save percentage over eight appearances. If Askarov is between the pipes, look for a solid GAA and healthy number of saves.
Elvis Merzlikins, CLM @ NYI (30% rostered)
Columbus is in the midst of a span of four straight and eight of nine on the road. The Blue Jackets sat in the second Wild Card spot as of the start Saturday's games, aided by the play of Merzlikins. He has won four straight starts for Columbus and has only one regulation loss over his last nine outings, going 7-1-1 with a 2.93 GAA and .898 save percentage during that span. Merzlikins is a strong candidate to notch a victory.
Alex Nedeljkovic, PIT @ LA (6% rostered)
If you score an empty net goal, notch an assist and pick up a win as a goalie, you are certainly getting profiled the next time you are between the pipes. Nedeljkovic put a stamp on his attempt to show he can fill the roll that once was held by Tristan Jarry. He stopped 40 of his 42 shots and is the first goalie to score in the NHL, AHL and ECHL. In addition, he is first goalie to have a goal and an assist in the same game. Nedeljkovic has a tough match up but looked very comfortable Friday and is a decent bet to have a strong game across the board.
