NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Defenseman Pickups January 27 - Spence Makes Sense Monday

Jordan Spence, LA @ DET (1% rostered)

Spence has helped the Kings manage the absence as Drew Doughty (ankle), He has three goals and 13 assists in 45 games after posting two and 22 in 71 contests last season. Doughty is nearing his season debut after practicing in a regular jersey Wednesday, meaning that Spence's time to shine is close to coming to an end. But that window is not fully closed, making him a solid option Monday.

Cam Fowler, STL vs. VAN (30% rostered)

Fowler has more than lengthened the Blues' defensive corps since arriving from Anaheim. The production has slowed somewhat - which was expected - but he still has five goals and eight assists in 20 contests with the team from the Arched City. Fowler is skating close to 23 minutes a game of ice time with just under two minutes coming on the man-advantage as he skates alongside Colton Parayko on the first pair.
