NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forwards Pickups Jan. 11 - Fantilli Takes Advantage Of New Role

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Matthew Knies, LW, TOR vs. VAN (47% rostered)

Knies has a chance to extend his points streak to five games. Even though he was minus-5 against the Canes, Knies still managed to register an assist. Now they host a banged-up Canucks team playing the second game of a back-to-back.

Dmitri Voronkov, LW, CBJ at STL (47% rostered)
Adam Fantilli, C, CBJ at STL (15% rostered)

The Blue Jackets have won three in a row with 16 (!) goals scored with Voronkov accounting for four of them with one assist. With Sean Monahan injured, stepping in is Adam Fantilli, and he's been excellent, too. He played 18:41 as their 1C and notched an assist, extending his points streak to four games. Fantilli has plenty of value as long as he's filling in for Monahan.

The Blues allowed six goals against the Jackets in their previous meeting on Jan. 4, and the Jackets are averaging the fifth-most goals per game.

Pavel Buchnevich, C/LW/RW, STL vs. CBJ (47% rostered)
Brayden Schenn, C/LW, STL vs. CBJ (22% rostered)

Buchnevich made the most of his 13:55 TOI with a goal and an assist to extend his points streak to five games. He's playing L1 and PP2 with Robert Thomas.

Schenn is also a good option playing on a line with Dylan Holloway, who's now rostered in 50 percent of leagues and 'graduated' from this column. Schenn's on a five-game points streak and notched two assists in their previous game against the Jackets.

As good as the Jackets are at scoring, they're also allowing the second-most goals per game.

Anders Lee, LW, NYI at UTA (46% rostered)

Lee has scored three goals in his past two games and he's been one very productive during the Islanders' recent scoring binge with nine goals in two games. Utah is reeling as they've been struggling to win games, and they're expected to start Connor Ingram, who has not played since November.

Bryan Rust, RW, PIT vs. OTT (45% rostered)

Rust scored three points against the Oilers in their previous game and the Penguins have scored at least four goals in four of their past five games. The Sens are missing key defensemen and allowed four goals in three of their past four games. Their goaltending has been particularly weak with either Anton Forsberg (.883 SP) and Leevi Merilainen (.884 SP).

Anton Lundell, C/RW, FLA vs. BOS (31% rostered)

Lundell's scored an assist in each of his past two games with four points in his past five games overall. The Bruins' struggles are evident right now with a six-game losing streak with at least four goals allowed in four straight games. The Panthers have pumped 10 goals against the Bruins in their past two meetings with Lundell scoring three points in those matchups.

Jonathan Drouin, LW/RW, COL at WPG (30% rostered)

Tough matchup against Connor Hellebuyck in Winnipeg, but Drouin's always a great play for points when he's playing with Nathan MacKinnon. The downside with Drouin is his very minimal fantasy value in all the other categories; he doesn't shoot the puck very often, doesn't take faceoffs and seldom gets involved in any physical play.

Fabian Zetterlund, LW/RW, SJ vs. MIN (29% rostered)

Zetterlund snapped a nine-game drought and the Sharks should be able to take advantage of a thin Wild defense that's missing three of their top four: Jared Spurgeon, Brock Faber and Jonas Brodin. Zetterlund is playing L1 with William Eklund and PP2.
