Goalies
Jonathan Quick, NYR @ NJD (15% rostered)
Utilizing Quick is not for the faint of heart. The Rangers are 4-12-0 in their last 16 and face a Devils squad that is 6-3-1 in that stretch and 10-6-3 at home. Quick got off to a strong start this season but has scuffled his last four starts, alternating six and three goals allowed. Quick, like Igor Shesterkin, has been let down by the defense in front and maybe he turns back the clock in this contest.
Tristan Jarry, PIT vs. PHI (23% rostered)
Jarry has been solid not great since regaining the No. 1 netminder job on Pittsburgh. Over his last 10 starts, Jarry has gone 6-3-1 with a 2.99 goals-against average and .897 save percentage, faltering a little recently after a strong start. Despite that so-so play, Jarry gives the Penguins the best chance by far to notch a victory, especially against their cross-state rivals.
Dustin Tokarski, CAR @ NAS (1% rostered)
Pyotr Kochetkov backstopped the 'Canes to a 3-1 win over the Rangers on Sunday. Tokarski will be between the pipes Monday looking to build off his victory Sunday Dec. 15 against Columbus. The victory was Tokarski's first NHL win since Jan. 10, 2023, when he was a member of the Penguins. He benefits from having the Carolina talent and system in front of him.
Marc-Andre Fleury, MIN vs. CHI (34% rostered)
It's possible that Filip Gustavsson returns from his injury to start but more likely Minnesota holds him out until after the Xmas break. If that proves to be the case, MAF should be between the pipes after Jesper Wallstedt started and struggled Saturday. Fleury has lost three of his last five appearances, though he's given up two or fewer goals in four of those games, so he is more than doing his job for the Wild.
