Forwards

Bryan Rust, RW, PIT vs, DET (42% rostered)

Rust, who returned last Friday from a five-game absence due to a lower-body injury, notched an assist in his season debut. He has tallied at least 20 goals each of his last five seasons while skating in a top-six role for the Penguins. With three goals and a pair of assists in 10 games played, Rust - barring another injury - is likely to come close to or exceed that mark again.

Aliaksei Protas, C/LW, WSH vs. TOR (12% rostered)

Protas' scoring pace may have slowed slightly recently, but he still has hit the scoresheet in two of his last three games. A third-round pick, 91 overall in 2019, Protas increased his point production each of the last two seasons and is on pace to do so again this season, Protas already has five markers and eight helpers in 14 games while skating 14:35 per contest as the Caps' first-line right wing.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi, C, CAR @ UTAH (2% rostered)

Kotkaniemi got off to a solid start this season, notching a goal and seven assists his first 10 games. He hit the skids slightly, failing to dent the scoresheet in three straight contests. Kotkaniemi registered a goal, an assist and six shots on goal Monday, benefitting from his line placement with Martin Necas. As long as Kotkaniemi remains with Necas, he should remain productive, but a move down a line would be disastrous for his production.

Trevor Moore, LW/RW, LA @ COL (45% rostered)

Moore had a career-best 31 goals and 26 assists in 82 contests last season following an injury-shortened 2022-23 campaign. He has carried that success over to this season, racking up two goals and five assists during a current six-game point streak. Moore has 10 points, 42 shots on net, 19 hits and a plus-2 rating over 17 appearances as he skates in a second-line, left wing role.

Alexander Holtz, LW/RW, LV @ ANA (1% rostered)

Holtz, who came to Vegas this offseason in the Paul Cotter deal, opened the season like he was going to be sent down to the minors, He was scoreless in his first six contests wear a Vegas jersey but has found his game lately, Holtz has just one goal but added six assists his last nine games, while skating on the third line. He is also seeing the occasional second unit power play usage, adding to his possible value.

Defensemen

Rasmus Sandin, WSH vs. TOR (6% rostered)

Sandin was brilliant after coming to Washington during the 2022-23 season. He took a step backwards last season, falling to 35 to 23 points. Sandin has scored in back-to-back games, though that is not really his game anymore. He has settled in as solid blueliner on the second or third defensive pairing while skating close to 20 minutes a contest. He should top 100 hits again, augmenting his value.

Radko Gudas, ANA vs. LV (26% rostered)

Gudas has scored between 11 and 18 points each of the last five seasons. If you have the Ducks' captain roster, it's not because of his offensive prowess. His main value sits in the 200+ hits and 150+ blocked shots he notches each season. This year looks like it will be no different, as Gudas already has 46 hits and 41 blocked shots in 14 games while skating 18+ nights a contest.
