* = confirmed
Ilya Sorokin, NYI @ Arvid Soderblom, CHI (3 p.m. ET)
James Reimer, BUF @ Dennis Hildeby, TOR (5 p.m. ET)
Elvis Merzlikins, CLM @ Pyotr Kochetkov, CAR (5 p.m. ET)
Jonathan Quick, NYR @ Joel Hofer, STL (6 p.m. ET)
Ilya Samsonov, LV @ Filip Gustavsson, MIN* (8 p.m. ET)
Goalies
Jonathan Quick, NYR @ STL (17% rostered)
The Rangers right now are a complete tire fire. Quick relieved a besieged Igor Shesterkin on Saturday, stopping all 11 shots in 34:09 in ice time. It's possible coach Peter Laviolette turns back to Shesterkin on Sunday, but seeing how well Quick played, he likely will be between the pipes. New York is struggling in all aspects and they are facing a hot Joel Hofer, who might be a better option, so consider this a gut call on my part.
Ilya Samsonov, LV @ MIN (46% rostered)
Samsonov's overall numbers are not impressive. He is to 6-3-1 with a 3.16 goals-against average and an .896 save percentage over 10 appearances. But Samsonov has won three of his last four outings with solid performances in each of those appearances. Samsonov does not have an easy match up against the Wild, so I can understand treading cautiously here.
