Yahoo Sports NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forwards Pickups Jan. 24 - Dorofeyev, Olofsson Shine For Vegas

Pavel Dorofeyev, LW/RW, VGK at DAL (35% rostered)
Victor Olofsson, LW/RW, VGK at DAL (8% rostered)
Both Dorofeyev and Olofsson scored a goal Thursday against the Blues. Olofsson now has five points in his past five games, including two goals in his past three, while Dorofeyev scored his seventh in six games. There's no question Dorofeyev is the better option; he generally plays more minutes and shoots the puck far more often. The Stars will be a tough matchup but the Golden Knights offense has been quite consistent; it has not really been their big problem during their four-game losing streak.
Tyler Bertuzzi, LW, CHI vs. TB (11% rostered)
Ryan Donato, C/LW/RW, CHI vs. TB (6% rostered)
Donato has scored three points in his past two games while Bertuzzi has five points in his past three games. The Blackhawks offense is much more potent under Anders Sorensen, and they might get a better matchup if Jonas Johansson gets the start for the Lightning. Bertuzzi has slightly better deployment playing LW on Connor Bedard's wing while Donato is centering Taylor Hall and Philipp Kurashev, both of whom have been healthy scratches at some point this season, but both Bertuzzi and Donato share the ice with Bedard on PP1.
Nick Schmaltz, C/RW, UTA at WPG (28% rostered)
Schmaltz's assist in Thursday's 4-0 win against the Wild extended his points streak to six games. After a quiet stretch, Schmaltz is scoring at a point per game pace yet again playing L1 with Clayton Keller and Logan Cooley. The Jets will be a much more formidable opponent with Vezina favorite Connor Hellebuyck in net, but on a light Friday night, Schmaltz is a good option while he's on one of the hottest streaks in the league.
