NHL Fantasy Hockey Player Waiver Wire Dec. 11 - Cool Kids Clamoring For Cuylle and Cozens

On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies can be used in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games.

Forwards

Zack Benson, LW, BUF vs. NYR (3% rostered)

Benson ended a 10-game goal drought with his goal Monday. The marker was much needed, but he had been warming up with four assists over his previous five contests, so it wasn't like he failed to produce. Benson has now logged multiple shots on net in five of his last six games, which is a major key for him. He had just 98 shots in 71 games while scoring 11 goals last season and has only 31 in 22 contests this season.

Dylan Cozens, C, BUF vs. NYR (30% rostered)

Cozens is heating up while skating as the second-line right wing. He has notched three goals and as many assists over his last eight outings, giving him six markers and seven apples in 28 games this season. Cozens fell from 68 to 47 points last season and his slow start brought out some of the boobirds while playing at home. His current warm streak should help cull some of that noise.

Will Cuylle, LW, NYR @ BUF (43% rostered)

Cuylle's rostered percentage continues to rightfully tick upwards. Monday, he notched his first career shorthanded goal, and his deployment there shows his growth and faith by coach Peter Laviolette. New York's third line of Cuylle, Filip Chytil and Kaapo Kakko, continues to be a force, and through 27 contests this season, Cuylle has 10 goals and 22 points with 108 hits, 50 shots on net and a plus-11 rating.

Troy Terry, C/RW, ANA @ OTT (25% rostered)

I profiled Terry on Monday and he rewarded those that followed this advice with a pair of tallies. Before being shut out in two straight contests, Terry recorded seven assists in a four-game stretch from Nov. 25-Dec. 1. But he had been goalless since Nov, 15, a span of 10 games. Terry is still skating on the Ducks' first line at right wing, tallying 80 goals the last three seasons.

Defensemen

Jacob Trouba, ANA @ OTT (38% rostered)

Trouba had a very solid debut for the Ducks on Monday, dishing out five hits while recording a blocked shot while playing 22:35 in the contest. Anaheim views Trouba as a steadying presence for their blue line, aiding the several young d-men in the system. He seemed to play with the weight of his world now off his back and the clearer head could result in improved performance on the ice.
