If only every brother celebrated as much as Jack Hughes did when he realized he’s going to be teammates with his sibling.

The New Jersey Devils selected defenseman Luke Hughes out of the University of Michigan fourth overall in the NHL draft on Friday, and his brother Jack — the 2019 first-overall pick — absolutely freaked the hell out.

The Devils' current top center did not hide any emotions there.

The third Hughes brother — Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn — was also on hand for the festivities, but Jack stole the show, jumping around like a six-year-old learning they’re going to Disneyland.

All three brothers are now officially top-10 selections in their respective drafts, an extremely rare feat not just in hockey, but sports in general. It must just be in their blood.

Luke is the Devils’ third top-10 pick in the last five drafts, joining brother Jack, and Alexander Holtz as the others.

The Devils finished their 2020-21 season with a 19-30-7 record, good for seventh in the East Division. With their cupboard full of prospects and their eye on the trade market, they are clearly aiming to make more of an impact next season than a measly 19 wins.
