With the Stanley Cup in tow, noted health nut Nathan MacKinnon's attention has seemingly shifted to enjoying his team's win to the absolute max.

So when ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski asked the star forward about knocking off the defending Stanley Cup champions, and what it would mean for Colorado to do the same themselves, MacKinnon had one thought at the top of his mind.

"I might get fat as s**t right now, so I don't know if we're going back-to-back." He said. "But I'm going to enjoy it for sure."

The Avalanche superstar is famous for his insane in-season health habits, and the strict regimen he allegedly keeps his teammates on.

Word of MacKinnon’s iron fist on carbs spread last year when former teammate Nikita Zadorov shared the high intensity that MacKinnon brings to the Avalanche locker room with a Russian news outlet.

The internet, of course, saw its opportunity and jumped headfirst into pumping out hilarious MacKinnon health memes, which the Cole Harbor, Nova Scotia native later shared that he thoroughly enjoyed at media day last fall.

MacKinnon would also go on to defend himself and promised reporters he “wasn’t crazy,” but it looks a little tough to argue that right now. After all, there aren’t too many Stanley Cup champions that think about their calorie deficit while popping champagne.

With that said, when you climb to the highest peak in hockey, leading your team with 13 goals and tallying 11 assists on the way there, you’ve earned yourself a cheat meal or a hundred.
