Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman, Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov and Blackhawks forward were the only players to go through the arbitration process.
The NHL arbitration period came to a close on Wednesday, with the final remaining players scheduled for hearings — Anaheim Ducks' Troy Terry and New York Rangers' Brandon Scanlin — agreeing to terms with their respective clubs.
Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman, Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov and Chicago Blackhawks forward Philipp Kurashev were the only players to go through the arbitration process this year. Swayman was awarded a one-year, $3.475 million deal, Samsonov received a one-year, $3.55-million deal and Kurashev was given a two-year, $4.5-million contract.
Twenty-two restricted free agents initially filed for arbitration in July, while the New Jersey Devils and Ottawa Senators elected for arbitration with star forwards Timo Meier and Alex DeBrincat, respectively.
