NHL 25 Gameplay Deep Dive Coming on Friday
EA Sports NHL announced that a deep dive into NHL 25's gameplay will be unveiled on Friday August 30th.
New gameplay aspects we can expect to see broken down include ICE-Q, NHL 25's new intelligence system, and Next-Gen Vision Control, which adds modern skating and new abilities to create space.
"Hockey is not played in a north, south, east, west manner it's played in a lot of small circles, being able to engage vision control and use it a way that is not only authentic but connected to what it feels like to skate is massive," EA Senior Design Director Mike Inglehart told The Hockey News last week.
New Empowered AI that reworks CPU player systems should be featured prominently in the deep dive, "The goal was to create more reliability on the ice...we wanted players to be where you expect them to be, in 24 we had a system that was unreliable," said Inglehart.
"We approached it with simplicity and consistency but we did not want it to be robotic, there is some improvisation in there as well."

Additionally, Reactive Actions and Skill-Based One-Timers are new features, including 250 new animations.
NHL 24's Gameplay Deep Dive was over 15 minutes long, so fans should expect a similar style video on Friday.
