EA Sports NHL released the first in-depth look at Hockey Ultimate Team in NHL 25 in a video with Cam "NoSleeves" Halbert.

A major addition to HUT is the brand new Wildcard Mode, this replaces HUT Rush and incorporates new, changing rulesets.

This includes a draft, a salary cap and some predetermined cards, with players needing to add players from their collection to meet the rules.

This will be both an online and offline mode with shorter seasons allowing for more rewards.

All rewards throughout NHL 25 are now tied to one XP Path, meaning your XP earned from Rivals, Squad Battles, and Wildcard will all go to one place and help you earn rewards.

The cards in HUT feature new artwork and had their overall tiers changed. Cards 74 overall or below are now bronze, 75-95 silver, 80 and above gold. X-Factor cards are returning, with some containing discounted AP costs.
