NFL world reacts to Bears WR Collin Johnson's big night vs. Texans

The Chicago Bears kicked off the preseason against the Houston Texans in the Hall of Fame game. And while no starters played, it was still an eventual night due to a couple of under-the-radar players stepping up as they compete for a roster spot.

Perhaps the biggest star of the evening was wide receiver Collin Johnson, who put on a show with fellow standout third-string quarterback Brett Rypien. After an early drop, Johnson bounced back with an impressive outing with three catches for 56 yards and two touchdowns. That included a 27-yard leaping catch on Chicago's second touchdown drive. He also had another impressive deep grab that was overturned as incomplete.

The Bears have a loaded receiver room featuring DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze and Tyler Scott. But if Johnson continues to flash this preseason, he could make a strong push for one of those final two roster spots.
