NFL Week 14 scores: 49ers end 3-game losing streak, Seahawks keep NFC West lead

The Rams stayed right behind Seattle, winning a shootout with the Bills

Three of the four NFC West teams won in Week 14, with one of them losing a head-to-head matchup.

The San Francisco 49ers ended a three-game losing streak with a 38–13 win over the Chicago Bears. Brock Purdy threw for 325 yards (on 20-for-25 passing) and two TDs, both to Jauan Jennings. Jennings had 90 yards receiving on seven catches. George Kittle caught six passes for 151 yards. Isaac Guerendo compiled 128 yards of total offense with two scores.

With a 30–18 victory against the Arizona Cardinals, the Seattle Seahawks held onto first place in the NFC West. Seattle turned two Kyler Murray interceptions into touchdowns, putting the Cardinals in a deep hole that they couldn't overcome.

Geno Smith threw for 233 yards and a TD, completing 24-of-30 passes. Zach Charbonnet rushed for 134 yards and two scores on 22 carries. Jaxon Smith-Njigba had five receptions for 82 yards and a TD.

And in the game of the day—arguably the best of the season—the Los Angeles Rams held off a furious comeback by the Buffalo Bills for a 44–42 win. Matthew Stafford completed 23-of-30 passes for 320 yards and 2 TDs. Puka Nacua had 12 catches for 162 yards and a score. Cooper Kupp added 95 yards and a TD on five catches. And Kyren Williams rushed for 87 yards on 29 carries.

Josh Allen scored six touchdowns for Buffalo, becoming the first NFL player to throw for three scores and rush for another three.

At 8–5, Seattle leads the NFC West by one game over the Rams (7–6). The Cardinals and 49ers are tied for last in the division at 6–7.

LIVE COVERAGE IS OVER48 updates
  • FINAL: Rams 44, Bills 42

The Rams survive a ferocious comeback by the Bills and hang on for a 44–42 win.

Josh Allen threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another three. He passed for 342 yards, completing 22-of-37 throws. He also rushed for 82 yards on 10 carries.

Khalil Shakir notched five receptions for 106 yards and a TD. Allen's other scoring passes went to Mack Hollins and Ty Johnson. Amari Cooper added six receptions for 95 yards.

For Los Angeles, Matthew Stafford completed 23-of-30 passes for 320 yards and 2 TDs. Puka Nacua had 12 catches for 162 yards and a score. Cooper Kupp added 95 yards and a TD on five catches. Kyren Williams rushed for 87 yards on 29 carries.

  • Bills' onside kick attempt fails

Ronnie Rivers recovers the Bills' onside kick and that likely clinches a win for the Rams with 59 seconds remaining.

  • 6 TDs for Josh Allen

Josh Allen gets his third rushing touchdown—and sixth TD—of the day, cutting the Rams' lead to 44–42 (with the extra point) with one minute left in regulation.

Buffalo will attempt an onside kick.

  • Bills driving toward TD

A pass interference penalty on Quentin Lake costs the Rams 34 yards, moving the Bills to the L.A. 16-yard line.

Two plays later, Darious Williams is flagged for pass interference on Amari Cooper, placing the ball on the 1-yard line.

  • FINAL: 49ers 38, Bears 13

After an abysmal first half, Chicago showed some life in the second half versus the 49ers. But it wasn't nearly enough in a 38–13 loss.

For the Bears, Caleb Williams threw for 134 yards and two scores, completing 17-of-23 passes. Both TD throws went to Rome Odunze, who had four receptions for 42 yards. D'Andre Swift rushed for 38 yards on 14 carries.

  • Puka Nacua with the dagger

Buffalo got the Rams to a 3rd-and-5 at its 19-yard line. Forcing a fourth down likely would've resulted in a field goal and six-point deficit with just under two minutes to go.

However, the Rams likely put the game out of reach with a 19-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua.

Joshua Karty missed the extra point, but the Bills are still down by two scores.

  • FINAL: Seahawks 30, Cardinals 18

Arizona couldn't overcome early mistakes against the Seahawks, digging itself into a hole too deep to overcome.

Geno Smith threw for 233 yards and a TD, completing 24-of-30 passes. Zach Charbonnet rushed for 134 yards and two scores on 22 carries. Jaxon Smith-Njigba had five receptions for 82 yards and a TD.

Kyler Murray threw two picks with his two TDs, racking up 259 yards on 25-of-38 passing. James Conner ran for 90 yards on 18 rushes. And Trey McBride caught seven passes for 70 yards.

  • Another look at Josh Allen's TD throw

Here's another angle on the pinpoint throw Josh Allen made to Mack Hollins for a touchdown.

  • 3-point game in L.A.!

If the Bills go down, they're going down swinging. Josh Allen hits Mack Hollins with a perfectly thrown ball for a 21-yard score to finish a grinding 10-play, 91-yard drive.

  • Brock Purdy takes big hit

Brock Purdy left the game briefly after a nasty-looking high-low hit. Brandon Allen took over briefly, but Purdy is back in.

  • Rome Odunze catches his 2nd TD

Rome Odunze joins the 2 TD club for Week 14. His 14-yard grab helps the Bears cut the 49ers' lead to 31–13.

The Bears are now approaching 100 yards passing for the game.

  • Bills cut deficit to 38–28

It's looking like a shootout at SoFi Stadium with the Bills going 70 yards in five plays to close the Rams' lead to 38–28.

Josh Allen scores on a 1-yard run, his second rushing score of the day.

Allen had a 20-yard run earlier in the drive, along with a 34-yard completion to Khalil Shakir.

  • Isaac Guerendo scores 2nd TD for 49ers

Isaac Guerendo joins Jauan Jennings with 2 TDs today, scoring his second on 4-yard run.

San Francisco turned a Bears fumble around, going 62 yards in five plays (highlighted by a 39-yard catch from Jennings) to take a 31–6 lead.

  • Rams take 38–21 lead over Bills

Puka Nacua has been creating most of the highlights for the Rams today. But Cooper Kupp announced his presence with an 18-yard TD catch.

Matthew Stafford has thrown for 247 yards as the Rams take a 38–21 lead over Buffalo.

  • Khalil Shakir goes 51 yards for Buffalo touchdown

Khalil Shakir scores on a 51-yard catch and run for the Bills to cut the Rams' lead to 31–21 (following an extra point kick) with 3:54 remaining in the third quarter.

  • Cardinals back in it

Is this considered a shovel pass or an underhand toss? Kyler Murray dishes off to James Conner, who scores a 2-yard touchdown.

Murray also runs in a 2-point conversion to cut Seattle's head to 27–18.

  • Rams boost lead over Bills

Despite Demarcus Robinson's 56-yard reception being nullfied by a penalty, the Rams finish off an 11-play drive with a 7-yard TD run by Kyren Williams.

L.A. boosts its lead to 31–14 over the Bills.

  • Bears on the board

Rome Odunze gets both feet down at the back of the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown. Chicago is finally on the scoreboard after a 16-play drive covering 70 yards.

However, the Bears missed the 2-point conversion, keeping them at 6 points.

  • Demarcus Robinson's 56-yard catch wiped out by penalty

Matthew Stafford hit Demarcus Robinson for a 56-yard pass on the Rams' opening drive of the second half.

Unfortunately for the Rams, the catch was nullified by offsetting pass interference penalties on Robinson and the Bills' Demar Hamlin.

  • George Kittle's big 1st half

George Kittle had a big first half for the 49ers with five receptions (on five targets) for 138 yards against the Bears.

  • Bears have 4 yards total offense at halftime

Caleb Williams has 27 yards passing, but four sacks for 30 yards have the Bears at -3 yards passing.

D'Andre Swift has 7 yards rushing on four carries.

  • Halftime: Seahawks 24, Cardinals 10

Kyler Murray's two interceptions are the difference in the game. Seattle turned both of those turnovers into touchdowns for a two-score lead at the half.

  • 49ers kick FG to boost lead to 24–0

Jake Moody's 23-yard field goal gives San Francisco a 24–0 lead over the Bears with 1:50 remaining in the first half.

The Bears have 2 yards of total offense. You read that correctly.

  • Puka Nacua scores a rushing TD

After his outstanding sideline catch, it's only right that Puka Nacua gets to finish off the drive with a touchdown on a sweep around the left end.

Los Angeles takes a 24–14 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the first half.

  • That's why they call him "Toe-Tap Nacua"

OK, Puka Nacua doesn't have that nickname. But he might earn one after getting the double toe-tap down on an outstanding 19-yard catch along the sideline.

  • 2 TDs for Jauan Jennings

Jauan Jennings has his second TD of the day for San Francisco on a 16-yard catch and run, splitting two Bears defenders.

Chicago is down 21–0 in its first game since Matt Eberflus was fired.

  • Zach Charbonnet with his second TD for Seahawks

After 20 yards on two carries, Zach Charbonnet zooms off the left side for a 51-yard touchdown run. Check out the block by Sataoa Laumea.

Seattle takes a 24–10 lead over Arizona.

  • And here come the Bills

Buffalo comes right back to score in four plays, completed with a 41-yard screen pass to Ty Johnson for a TD. Look at that blocking to set up Johnson's run.

The Bills cut the Rams' lead to 17–14.

  • Rams block punt for TD!

Jacob Hummel bulls his way up the middle to block Sam Martin's punt. Hunter Long picks up the loose ball and returns it 22 yards for a touchdown.

With that score, the Rams take a 17–7 lead over Buffalo early in the second quarter.

  • Isaac Guerendo gives 49ers 14–0 lead

After forcing a punt, San Francisco goes 64 yards in four plays highlighted by a 32-yard catch by George Kittle and 27-yard reception from Isaac Guerendo. Guerendo finishes off the drive with a 1-yard TD run.

  • Cardinals kick FG to get within 1 score

The Cardinals can't finish off their drive with a TD after two incompletions from Kyler Murray. A Chad Ryland 28-yard field goal cuts the Seahawks' lead to 17–10 early in the second quarter.

  • James Conner gets Arizona in the red zone

Arizona is driving toward a score after a 23-yard run by James Conner. Cardinals have 1st-and-goal at Seattle's 11-yard line.

  • Josh Allen pushes in a TD for Buffalo

Josh Allen's second QB sneak—or do we call it a Tush Push—gets the Bills in the end zone for the tying touchdown.

That is Allen's seventh rushing touchdown of the season. Bills and Rams tied, 7–7.

  • 2 INTs, 2 TDs for Seahawks

Seattle builds its lead over Arizona to 17–7 on a 1-yard jet sweep by Zach Charbonnet for the TD. The Seahawks have made the Cardinals pay for their two turnovers thus far.

  • Josh Allen draws roughing the passer call

Byron Young gets called for roughing the passer on Josh Allen, though it appears the Bills QB was still in bounds when he was hit. Probably close enough that Young should have laid off, however.

  • Rams lead 7–0 over Bills

The Rams score on their opening drive versus the Bills. A 12-play, 70-yard drive is finished off with a 3-yard TD run up the middle by Kyren Williams.

  • Another Kyler Murray interception

Kyler Murray has thrown picks on two consecutive possessions. This time, Coby Bryant gets the interception.

  • Jauan Jennings' TD catch

Here's a look at the 49ers touchdown: Brock Purdy connecting with Jauan Jennings on a 7-yard flag route in the end zone.

  • Seahawks take the lead

Seattle takes a 10–7 lead over Arizona on a 19-yard TD pass from Geno Smith to Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

The Seahawks made the Cardinals pay for a turnover, picking off Kyler Murray at the Arizona 31-yard line.

  • 49ers come out throwing

Brock Purdy hits George Kittle for a 33-yard gain on the 49ers' opening drive.

Two plays later, Jauan Jennings catches a 7-yard score to put San Francisco on the board first versus the Bears.

  • Arizona called for 12 men on defense

The Seahawks are known for their 12th Man, but it's Arizona that's called for 12 men on the field defensively. That moves Seattle to 2nd-and-goal from the Cardinals' 5-yard line.

But the Seahawks can't punch it in and have to settle for a Jason Myers field goal. Cardinals lead, 7–3.

  • Cardinals strike first

On their sixth play of the game, the Cardinals get into the end zone. Kyler Murray hits Michael Wilson for a 42-yard score.

  • Buffaloes supporting Buffaloes

Ahkello Witherspoon supporting his fellow Colorado Buffalo, Travis Hunter, for the Heisman Trophy during pregame warmups.

Witherspoon played in Boulder from 2014-16, under head coach Mike MacIntyre.

  • Cardinals' offense goes first

Seahawks win the coin toss and defer. So the Cardinals' offense will get the opening possession.

  • Cardinals in black alternates vs. Seahawks

Cardinals are flying with the all-black uniform set today. They're 1–1 in those unis this season, losing to the Lions and beating the Chargers.
