The NFL trade deadline is just hours away, and all eyes are on the Chicago Bears and whether they're buyers and/or sellers ahead of the Nov. 5 cutoff.

With the Bears sitting at 4-4 with the trade deadline on deck, it's unclear whether they'll be buyers or sellers. There are definitely needs along the offensive line, and they look to acquire an interior lineman. But there are also some players on the roster who don't seem to have a role and could be dealt at the deadline.

Below, we’ll track the latest news and rumors around the Bears at the trade deadline:

Bears trade Khalil Herbert to Bengals

The Bears kicked off Tuesday morning by dealing running back Khalil Herbert to the Bengals in exchange for a 2025 seventh-round pick. Herbert, a former sixth-round pick, had been a healthy scratch for the past two games with D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson leading the way in Chicago's backfield.

Bears unlikely to make major splash at trade deadline

According to 670 the Score's Chris Emma, the Bears aren't expected to make a move at the trade deadline to acquire a player. While the offensive line remains the biggest need, there aren't many viable options available. Emma did mention running back Khalil Herbert and right guard Nate Davis are two prime players to be traded.

Four Bears veterans could be on the move

Back on Oct. 23, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reported the Bears are open to trading away at least four veterans who have fallen down the depth chart. That includes right guard Nate Davis, running back Khalil Herbert, defensive end Dominque Robinson and offensive tackle Larry Borom.

Bears team needs entering NFL trade deadline

  • Offensive line

  • Edge rusher

Chicago's biggest need is along the offensive line -- be it at tackle or along the interior. Not only could the starting offensive line use upgrades, but they've been ravaged by injuries, which haven't made it any better. Edge rusher isn't a massive need compared to the offensive line, but the Bears could benefit from adding another big name alongside Montez Sweat, although unlikely.
