NFL team owner Dan Snyder lists posh Maryland mansion once owned by royalty. See it

And the plot thickens.

Amid rumors that Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder might be selling the NFL team, he has listed his massive Potomac River estate in Maryland for $49 million.

The Commanders are facing allegations of sexual harassment in a toxic workplace environment, and rumors of Snyder dumping the team — who were last in the NFC East this past season — have been flooding the internet.

While all that’s happening, however, Snyder’s estate is pretty jaw-dropping and has some royal connections.

“Sited at the top of a gentle knoll on the banks of the Potomac River sits an elegant château clad in French limestone,” the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty says. “This mansion was the formal estate of Jordan’s King Hussein and Queen Noor. The main parcel and structure were acquired from the King & Queen in 2000. Subsequently, the owner has thoughtfully acquired six adjacent parcels furthering to beautify and expand this grand and private 15-acre riverfront parcel.”

The mega mansion has five bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and is a whopping 30,000 square feet. Property features include:

  • Limestone columns

  • Gas lanterns

  • Cobblestone-lined driveway

  • Guard house

  • Guest house

  • Manager’s house

  • Two-story reception hall

  • 24-foot limestone fireplace

  • Library

  • Chef’s kitchen

  • Gym

  • Spa lounge

  • Wine cellar

  • Theater

“The design of the grounds is landscaped in an 18th-century style known as jardin à l’anglaise or English garden,” the listing says. “This style lends itself well to the property considering its siting adjacent to protected parkland on each side of the Potomac River’s banks.”

The listing caught the attention of Zillow Gone Wild, a popular Twitter account and Facebook page that highlights unique houses for sale.

“This place has that tomb raider feeling to it,” one person joked.

“Remarkably tasteful. I was expecting a gaudy mess,” another said.

“Just throw me in the wine cellar with some slices of American cheese and I’m good,” someone commented.

“Why did (the) King and Queen of Jordan have a formal estate in Maryland USA?” one person asked.

“I was royalty in my last life because I know I lived here once! Sign me up!” another noted.

“I have very good credit,” someone tweeted.

This estate looks like a Hitman level,” one person said.

The listing is held by Michael Rankin and Heather Corey.
