NFL punt of the year? Jaguars' Logan Cooke booms 73-yarder that pins Packers at their 2-yard line

Future generations could study this as the perfect example of a great punt

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Green Bay Packers 30-27 on Sunday, but Jaguars punter Logan Cooke provided a highlight with a spectacular 73-yard kick on Jacksonville's first series of the game.

This couldn't have been a more perfect punt, hitting the turf at the 10-yard line and going out of bounds at the 2 to pin Green Bay back by nearly the entire field.

After taking over, the Packers couldn't do much, failing to get a first down and going three-and-out. Green Bay had to punt from its 7-yard line, giving Jacksonville the ball at the 50.

Cooke, in his seventh season with the Jaguars, is 12th in the NFL with an average punt of 49.8 yards. That is a career-high thus far and will surely improve after his booming punt versus the Packers.
