Chargers OG Forrest Lamp wants to sell you a forest lamp — no, really
If you’re in the market for a tough, strong, powerful light device that will make you say “I love lamp” and actually mean it, a Los Angeles Chargers offensive lineman has the perfect product for you.
That lineman is obviously fourth-year guard Forrest Lamp. And he’s sharing news of his new forest lamp called The Forrest Sequoia.
But really, it’s a lamp fit for a forest even if it can’t quite reach up to its namesake.
You knew it was coming. Here it is. My first signature lamp from @LampsPlus: The Forrest Lamp. The first model is the Forrest Sequoia floor lamp. If you need a new rustic faux wood floor lamp, this is the one. https://t.co/R7KAtQ2Lrw #myLampsPlus #boltup #Chargers pic.twitter.com/tx5WR5JK3A

The lamp is part of an endorsement deal with Lamps Plus, which Lamp been working with since before he was drafted out of Western Kentucky in 2017. It’s a limited-edition release at a price point of $199.99 and “combines elements of strength and resilience with a faux wood finish,” according to its description.
Lamp is lit up about it.
“This Forrest lamp is awesome — it looks like a forest tree trunk, perfect for my name, of course. The lamp and the wicker shade are definitely my style,” Lamp said in a statement. “You can’t go wrong adding the Forrest lamp to your place.”
He added: “I’ve dreamed of having my own signature shoe, so having a Lamps Plus lamp with my name is right up there.”
And just look at these photos. The 6-foot-4 lineman takes protecting this lamp, standing at a slim 5 feet, very seriously.
A thing I learned today: #Chargers OL Forrest Lamp has an endorsement deal with Lamp Plus, a lamp company. And this is his first signature lamp, called the Forrest Sequoia. A forest lamp from Forrest Lamp. pic.twitter.com/qRT2DdPJAt

There appears to be more lamps on the way and it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with next. Different styles of trees? Enough to literally have a region-based diverse forest in your living room?
Brick Tamland would probably love that.
