Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique didn’t see Randal Kolo Muani as a suitable fit for his plans, which paved the way for the forward’s move to Juventus. Now, the French capital club could be on the hunt for a new No. 9 and have been linked to several potential targets.

Fichajes claimed Enrique has his eye on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. The Swedish striker’s pace, technical skills, and clinical finishing have reportedly impressed the PSG boss, as these traits align with the attacking philosophy he aims to establish in Paris.

At the same time, FootballTransfers noted that Arsenal are also admirers of Isak. However, Liverpool are believed to be the most serious contenders, with reports suggesting they currently have the upper hand in the race for his signature.

Arsenal’s interest in Newcastle forward Isak is well known, although it seems unlikely the Gunners will be able to bring the Swedish forward in this month.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has already dismissed talk of Isak leaving, but Sky Germany claim (h/t The Mirror) that the Swedish standout is a huge priority for Arsenal in the summer.

The report does add that any move for Isak would be “complicated and very expensive”, which may disappoint Arsenal.

Former Newcastle star Alan Shearer believes Isak’s value could exceed £150 million thanks to his outstanding form. Shearer believes Chelsea might have an edge over Arsenal in the race to sign him but warns the Blues to tread carefully, as his price could keep climbing.
