Nets' James Harden remains out for Game 4 but hamstring injury is 'progressing'
James Harden has been unavailable to play for the Brooklyn Nets ever since he injured his hamstring just 43 seconds into Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks. It kept him out of the next two games, and it's going to keep him out at least one more.
The Nets have announced that Harden will not play in Game 4 on Sunday, however, there is good news. Head coach Steve Nash told the media that Harden's injury is "progressing."

Jeff Green has been upgraded to questionable for Game 4, Nash says.— Malika Andrews (@malika_andrews) June 12, 2021
Unfortunately, Nash didn't offer up a timeline for Harden to return or any other information about his injury. This is the second time this season that Harden has had to miss time due to a hamstring injury, after missing 18 games in the second half of the season. The Nets have a 2-1 lead on the Bucks, but his presence was missed the most in Game 3 when the Nets were just four points away from having a 3-0 series lead. (The Nets lost 86-83.)
There was better news about Jeff Green, who injured his left foot all the way back when the Nets were playing the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. He left Game 2 in the first half and hasn't played since, but it's possible he could be available as soon as Game 4. Nash told the media on Saturday that Green had been upgraded to questionable.
