A matchup of coaches who won national championships as players highlights Wednesday's action as the NCAA men's and women's tournaments get rolling.
At the men's First Four in Dayton, Ohio, former point guards Bobby Hurley and Steve Alford will lead their squads into a battle of No. 11 seeds who just barely made the 68-team field.
Hurley, a back-to-back national champ under Mike Krzyzewski at Duke in 1991 and 1992, and his 22-12 Arizona State Sun Devils, will take on the 22-10 Nevada Wolf Pack, coached by Steve Alford, a 1987 champion with Indiana and coach Bobby Knight.
The other men's First Four game pits No. 16 seeds Fairleigh Dickinson of the Northeast Conference and Texas Southern of the SWAC.
The women's NCAA Tournament begins with the first of its two First Four games -- No. 11 seeds Mississippi State vs. Illinois and No. 16 seeds Sacred Heart vs. Southern.

Men's: The First Four games for the NCAA men's basketball tournament start at 6:40 p.m. ET and 9:10 p.m. ET. Both games are at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio.
