I'm slightly lower on the Lakers' offseason than most. Here's where I'm at:
– I think the roster is better than last year's
– I don't think they've done enough to catch Denver or counteract possible LeBron age-related decline
– I think they can close the gap with in-season moves— Sam Quinn (@SamQuinnCBS) July 1, 2023
The Lakers roster is basically set. There are some things worth noting about this team and even the league in general https://t.co/GnKIgXRiec

The Lakers have locked up young, athletic rotation players who they can keep for the next 4-5 years.
Even if we lose Bron/AD next summer or the following summer, the Lakers will always have a chance to bring in a top 10 player in free agency.
The next couple of years will be…

You mean to tell me the Nuggets and Warriors lost key rotation players and the Lakers retained their core while getting younger, bigger, and more athletic? pic.twitter.com/9FmW0CKkQX

IF the lakers next signing is Christian Wood then the rest of the west better watchout

Y’all lakers fans be excited every time you make any move during off-season the players that you pick up before the season immediately become all nba caliber then half way through the season they “suck”. I can’t wait until it happens again this year!

Lakers need to call Dwight Howard and I’m serious. If you can call Tristan Thompson, you can call Dwight Howard.

Tier 1: Nuggets
T2: Suns, Lakers, Warriors
T3: Clippers
I think they’re all pretty close tho

This is a great price. The Los Angeles Lakers won the week. They have a real chance to get their 13th title now. https://t.co/U9ucLjxGnb

Deep? This roster is horrible 😭😭😭

I'm not sold on the Lakers' offseason so far.
LAL got swept in the playoffs. Now instead of upgrading, they just brought everyone back but w Gabe Vincent & Cam Reddish instead of Schroder & Lonnie Walker
LeBron is going to be 39.
I'm not convinced they'll be better next year🤷

I figured it out. Elon is a Celtics fan so he had to shut down Twitter after the lakers won free agency.

lebron just posted a photo of every lakers free agent signing on his ig story so i think it's safe to say he's not retiring

Do the Lakers really have $8 million in space even after the Austin deal? Is that correct? @EricPincus

I do not mind the Lakers giving D'Angelo Russell almost 20 mil a year for 2 years. He is just SO TALENTED. And so experienced. Will he be there when you really need him? Sometimes. But it's a long season, and he will help you win a lot of games. He's just … that … good.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) July 1, 2023
Congrats, Austin Reaves … but you're still underpaid. Next year you should be the Lakers' closer. If they had called your number more against Denver, that series would've been 2-all instead of a sweep.
— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) July 1, 2023
I am LOVING what the Lakers have pulled off. They were good enough to beat Denver in the conf finals – if LBJ hadn't shot 7-23 (1-10 from 3) in 4 close 4th quarters and missed so many late shots. Now, they're a little better. Could this team win it all next yr? ABSOLUTELY.
