NBA trade deadline 2025: Date, time, top players available
It seems like the NBA regular season just began. However, when you take a look at the standings, you realize we're more than 30 games into the season. The NBA Cup tournament is completely over and the trade deadline is less than a month away.
With star players like Jimmy Butler, Bradley Beal, Brandon Ingram, and Zach LaVine all potentially on the move, this could be one of the more heated deadlines in recent memory — and that's saying something given how big deadline moves have gotten over the last half-decade. Since 2018, there have been at least 10 deadline trades every year.
It could still be some time before we see any moves of major significance, though. After all, the teams those big-time players are on will likely want to squeeze as much out of their stars as possible before dealing them away.
