NBA Suspends Lakers' Patrick Beverley After Altercation With Deandre Ayton

On Tuesday's game between Los Angeles Lakers' 115-105 loss to the Phoenix Suns, the fourth quarter got heated as Patrick Beverley violently pushed the opposing big man Deandre Ayton.

Beverley stands by his shove, claiming that Ayton was taunting his teammate Austin Reaves, who was already down on the ground after taking a shot to the face from Devin Booker. Bookers shot to Reaves was ultimately ruled as a flagrant foul. Reaves later came to Beverley's defense after he acted out on the court.

After review, the NBA has now announced a three-game suspension on Beverley. Beverley will be out until November 30, when the Lakers host the Portland Trail Blazers. Currently, Beverley is shooing just 26.6% overall and is 23.8% from the beyond-the-arc this season. He is a much-needed defensive leader on the court for the Lakers.

Take a look at the NBA's full statement on Beverley's suspension below.
