NBA All-Star drip check: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander breaks out fur coat; Nikola Jokić rocks houndstooth

The NBA All-Star game is a chance for the league's best to show off their skills and just have fun. While Salt Lake City — the host for this year's game — isn't exactly known as a fashion hub, the players put their best foot forward on and off the court.

Giannis Antetokounmpo got his first win as a captain over LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar still got his shining moment as he was honored at halftime for breaking the NBA's scoring record earlier this month.

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum made history of his own by scoring 55 points, an All-Star game record. He also debuted his signature shoe: the Jordan Tatum 1. The shoe comes will come in four colorways that each hold special meaning to the St. Louis native.

Here's the NBA All-Star drip check:

5. Anthony Edwards — Minnesota Timberwolves

First-time All-Star Anthony Edwards showed his appreciation for the greats that came before him with his outfit. He wore a cozy Minnesota Timberwolves zip-up jacket (unreleased) from The Wild Collective, patchwork jeans from Who Decides War and a graphic T-shirt paying homage to Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett.

He paired it with adidas Superstar sneakers and — if you read our NFL drip check — our favorite accessory: pearls.

4. Nikola Jokić — Denver Nuggets

Two-time MVP Nikola Jokić was business as usual as he showed up in a houndstooth suit. He dressed appropriately for the weather with a black mock neck sweater underneath. It was a look that was clean and classy with a print that's all the rage right now.

3. Jrue Holiday — Milwaukee Bucks

Jrue Holiday is continuing to step into his own greatness. For his second All-Star appearance, stylist Brand Williams of Vibe Protection Council curated an outfit with a quilted jacket from Kapital and joggers from l'equip. The midnight navy allowed for his brightest shine.

2. DeMar DeRozan — Chicago Bulls

DeMar DeRozan was fly in this Louis Vuitton jacket and pants set from the fashion house's collaboration with artist Yayoi Kusama. Polka dots are always a statement and on the big night, they definitely popped. The look embraces snowy Salt Lake while saying, "I'm a six-time All-Star who knows how to stunt."

1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — Oklahoma City Thunder

The ever-fashionable Shai Gilgeous-Alexander definitely brought the drip to the NBA All-Star game for his first appearance. He wore a simple white button-up with black Chrome Hearts pants and some chains. But the mink jacket was the statement piece that put the Oklahoma City Thunder star over the top and into the stratosphere with other NBA legends.

As for his Louis Vuitton briefcase, Gilgeous-Alexander revealed there was nothing in it. A real power move.
