Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, the Milwaukee Bucks announced Thursday. He's dealing with a hyperextended left knee.

The game against the Atlanta Hawks tips at 8:30 p.m. ET on TNT. The series is tied, 2-2.

The Bucks had originally listed the star as doubtful after he took a fall in Game 4 of the series. He reportedly has no structural damage to his left knee, but there is no timetable for his return.

Antetokounmpo helped off court in Game 4

Antetokounmpo landed awkwardly defending his player at the rim and stayed down in pain during the third quarter of Tuesday's game. His knee buckled beneath him.

He was able to get up, but was helped off the court to the locker room. While he did return briefly to the bench, he did not check back in and finished with 14 points and eight rebounds.

Milwaukee lost the game, 110-88, to turn it into a best-of-three series down the stretch. It was a surprising result since the Hawks were without their own star in Trae Young, who is questionable for Game 5.

The Bucks announced the following day he suffered a hyperextended left knee and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported there was no structural damage. "The ligaments are sound," per his report.

BetMGM started the day with the Bucks as slight favorites (-2) since Young and Antetokounmpo's statuses were uncertain.
